Manini Mishra is an Indian actress and model, working predominantly in the Hindi film and television industry. She has acted in numerous television serials and in many movies as well, making her a popular face among Indian people. Manini has been part of the industry for a period of 25 years, and in these years, her characters in the different shows she has been a part of have made a big impact on viewers.
Manini Mishra Childhood and Early Life
Manini Mishra was born on 21st March, 1972 in Delhi, India. Her actual name is Maninee Dey, but after she entering the entertainment industry and getting married, the spelling of her name and her surname ended up getting changed. However, her work kept speaking for itself. It is not known if Manini has any siblings or not. However, she is close to her mother, after being single-handedly raised by her ever since her father passed away when she was quite young.
Not much is known about where she did her schooling from, but considering how she is from Delhi, it can be assumed that she attended schools and college in Delhi only. It is not known what her subject was, but it was reported that she started running a boutique after completing her graduation studies.
Although Manini is such a famous actress, an interesting fact is that she never really wanted to become an actress. Instead, she wanted to work as a psychiatrist or an archeologist. She had no intention of becoming an actress, but her close friend, popular Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen convinced her to participate in Miss Delhi completion in 1993. Mishra ended up winning the show, which made it possible for her to participate in the Miss India content. She secured the sixth position there.
Manini Mishra Career
Manini Mishra has had a career spanning 25 years in the entertainment industry. Though her main occupation is of a tv and film actress, she has also worked as the voice actress, particularly in the dubbing of Hollywood films to Hindi. Her career as an actress started after competing in Miss India.
Her first role was in the show Amma and Family in 1995, where she played the role of Farah. Ever since her, she continued working. Two years after this show, she was casted as the voice actor for the Hindi dubbing of the Hollywood film The Mummy, in which she voiced Rachel Weisz’ s character. Afterwards, she kept appearing in different roles in different serials, eventually starting off with films as well.
Some of her other popular works were in the serials Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Remix, The Great Indian Comedy show and many more. One of her most iconic and memorable roles was in the serial Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, in which she played the character of Papdi Kapadia. Her acting won her the Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Comic Role in 2004. She has appeared in many Bollywood movies, like Krrish, Fashion, Student of the Year and more.

Manini Mishra was married twice. She got divorced from her first husband, and she has a daughter from that marriage. She got married again in 2004 to actor Mihir Mishra, but they are now separated.
